Our projects

At NewDay United we strengthen the hands of local people in the most disadvantaged communities.

Our approach respects the dignity of local communities and their desire to be empowered to serve themselves. As the proverb says, ‘give a man a fish and  you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime’.

Everything we do builds the skills, hope and momentum for local communities to develop themselves. Our staff team themselves are examples of the power of this approach – most are graduates from our job readiness programme and have been through our Computer Learning Centre. 

We routinely celebrate people gaining qualifications, getting jobs, being able to feed their families, sharing their skills with others and living a more fulfilled life.
