ENCOUNTER  |  EQUIP  |  EMPOWER

In discerning our theme for this year, we were reminded that God is the planter and glorifying Him is the root of all we do.

Isaiah 61:3b says “…They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendour.”

This powerful verse answers foundational questions of formation:

Who plants? The Lord: This is not self-made growth or forced productivity. God Himself chooses the soil, sets the seed, and oversees the process. What He plants, He commits to tend.
What is planted? Oaks of righteousness: Oaks speak of strength, longevity, resilience, and stability. They withstand storms because their roots go deep before their branches rise high.
Why are we planted? That He may be glorified: The goal is not visibility, speed, or applause—but God’s glory revealed through a life that stands firm over time.

This is not about short-term results; it’s about roots, healing, restoration, and future fruit – strength and longevity are the outcome.

This is the vision of NewDay United.

ENCOUNTER

We draw on our long-standing relationships with grassroots organisations – our trusted partners in churches, businesses and social development organisations – to build productive alliances and deliver programmes that empower.

EQUIP

We get resources to where they will make the biggest difference. Local communities and churches, which often don’t have the capacity to fundraise themselves. We target resources where they help to build self-sustainability, ensuring your donation is tracked by a simple and effective audit.

EMPOWER

At NewDay United we believe that equipping people with the right values is as important as financial support or training. Our leaders provide the emotional and moral support required to all the amazing champions we serve to be as effective as possible in the most challenging environments.

True to the spirit of “Ubuntu” (an ancient African word meaning ‘humanity to others’) where emphasis is placed on community influencing the benefit of the greater, NewDay United collaborates with organisations that are already changing their world. We work with churches, businesses, community-based organisations and individuals.

We are committed to championing the champions, enabling them to make a difference and become change agents in their communities, their nation and beyond.
