WORK 4 A LIVING +
call centre course

This intensive 12-day job readiness course invests in people by teaching them workplace and entrepreneurial skills necessary to earn a sustainable income.

This highly practical course covers topics such as:

  • How to find a job effectively
  • How to keep a job once you have found it
  • Employee loyalty
  • Moral character
  • Excellence in the workplace
  • Professional conduct
  • Empathy for the employer and their needs
  • Making yourself invaluable to a business
  • How to communicate effectively
  • How to get yourself promoted in the workplace
  • Financial literacy

Our experience is that empowerment is not simply “getting people out of poverty”, instead lasting empowerment is about:

  • giving people HOPE
  • and a positive FUTURE
  • enabling them to understand that they have control of their approach to life
  • enabling them to understand that they have control of their attitude to work
  • and their use of the resources that they already have been given.

Upon completion of W4AL, a significant proportion of our students have either established their own businesses or found secure employment.

We work with a variety of local and national business partners who proactively choose to recruit (pending a successful interview) from our graduate pool, based on their experiences with our previous cohorts.

call centre course

We are excited to announce that our new Call Centre Course developed by the NDU team, launched in September 2022! Later that month we celebrated our first Call Centre Course graduates!

Piloted with our coding students, this additional training tool is being rolled out for those who have gone through our W4AL programme.

Our passion is that from this training, our students will be able to take up roles in Call Centres and enhance the employment opportunities available to them, as this industry expands around Cape Town.
